Hello my Cajun friends, this is Nettie Mae Avec Domino. Longtime opinionated resident of da parish and professional know it all. You may have seen me driving down Johnston Street in my sky blue Buick or dancing at da fair.  

Anyway, I’m gonna be the new “Opinion & Advice” columnist replacing Ms. Jenny McCarthy and boy am I glad to see her geaux… Mon dieu… “Don’t post no nude pictures on the inter web she says.” Huh, how you think she got famous? Well we’ll have no more talk like dat.

OK, on to the advice & opinions.

#1.  It’s been almost 10 years since they supposedly fixed the corner of Guilbeau Rd. and Johnston St. And for the life of me I still can’t figure out how to turn left on to Johnston. Last time I tried, I had to make 3 right turns to geaux to the left. Hmm, dat ain’t right.

#2.  Speed Vans & Traffic Cameras. Those $#*#$$$$#*#*$$$$*#*#$$$$ers, Hmmm, dat ain’t right.

#3.  You know when you stuck in traffic and you stop to let somebody pull out or turn?  Mae das nice… But it really gets my goat when they don’t even bother to wave at me and say thank you!  Come on people, you gotta be nice to get nice!
