LEF Teacher Awards 2016 - Top Finalist

Congratulations to all of the 695 teachers that were nominated for this year’s 18th Annual LEF Teacher Awards. The field of nominees was narrowed to 16 Top Finalists representing 4 categories of which 4 Top Finalists were announced Wednesday evening at LEF’s annual gala.  

Top Finalists for Each Category:

* Elementary School: Darmecia W. Crane (Milton Elementary/Middle School)

* Middle School: Vincent Robert Hicks (David Thibodaux STEM Academy)

* High School: Sandra Laborde Broussard (Comeaux High)

* Inspirational: Lian Cheramie (Lafayette High)

* Vincent Robert Hicks – David Thibodaux STEM Academy – 6th-8th Grade P.E./Basketball Coach

* Michael Karnath – Youngsville Middle School – 6th-8th Grade Modular Tech (Woodshop)

* Monique Walker – L.J. Alleman Middle School – 7th Grade English

* Trudie Wolking – Cathedral Carmel School – Special Education

High School Category
