The Zonta Club of Lafayette presents its 7th annual fundraiser, an Art Bra Event known as, “Save ze Ta Ta’z. This special event will be held at the Napoleon Room at River Oaks on Thursday, March 10, 2016. The evening will be one celebrated with cancer survivors, some of whom will model the amazing art bras created by local artists, friends, family, celebrities and even themselves. There will be a live and silent auction.

All funds raised will benefit local service and advocacy projects of the Zonta Club of Lafayette Foundation, Inc. Our Club will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Institute for Breast Health, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to provide state of the art education concerning breast health as well as the celebration of breast cancer survivorship for the community known as the Acadiana Region. The educational Symposium is presented to the public at a minimal cost, courtesy of the generous support of the Acadiana community.

The Zonta Club of Lafayette was chartered in 1978 and remains a vital part of the community, providing scholarships to young women in high school, college and post-graduate studies, in addition to women who are ‘head of household’. Community service projects include Faith House, the Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic, SANE, Fire Prevention Week, and more.

Over the decades, Zonta International has grown into a worldwide service organization of professionals working together to advance the status of women. There are more than 30,000 members in more than 1,200 clubs in 67 countries all over the world. Zontians volunteer their time, talents and support to local and international service projects, as well as scholarship programs aimed at fulfilling Zonta’s mission and objects.
