Police Seek Bank Robbery Suspect - Lafayette

Lafayette, LA— On December 5, 2016 at approximately 9:50am, Lafayette Police responded to an armed robbery at Chase Bank at 3930 W. Congress St. A male suspect with a handgun and ski mask entered the bank and demanded money from a bank teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount, the suspect fled the bank on foot towards the Plaza Village subdivision. Police are attempting to identify and locate the armed suspect. No bank employees were harmed during the robbery.

Police have reason to believe that the male subject and the vehicle in the photos below are linked to this morning’s bank robbery. The photos were captured at a separate business in the area of the robbery.  The vehicle appears to be an older model tan or grey Buick sedan. The subject appears to have facial hair, but ethnicity has not been determined.
