2017 Minority Health Awareness Summit

Are you an area professional passionate about improving the lives of others? Are you a concerned citizen and advocate for community members? If so, please join us for our 3rd annual Minority Health Awareness Summit. We will hear from phenomenal speakers Taniecea Mallery, Ph.D., Winn Amos, LPC, Dr. Suzanne Foster and Jerry Roberson, Ph.D. They will present important topics that are unique to minority populations who face statistically overwhelming health disparities. Topics include disparities in higher education, behavioral health, obesity, and birth outcomes. Regardless of who you are, these topics affect you! It is our duty to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Join us at this event as we learn how to lesson the gap and achieve health equity for everyone. Four Continuing Education Units (pending approval) will be available. Special thanks to our sponsors, Brentwood Behavioral Hospital and Crescent City PIC Healthy Start Initiative.
