Moresi: The Man, The Industry

The Jeanerette Museum celebrates the sugarcane industry as it presents Moresi: The Man, The Industry at 6 p.m. on Sept. 20. Attendees are requested to meet at Moresi Foundry located next to the museum for this special event. Jim Farmer, general manager of Moresi Foundry, will speak about the founder of the factory, Antoine Moresi. Learn about the foundry, ice plant, bottling plant, and businesses that were inspired by Moresi and enjoy a special tour of the foundry. This is a working factory so we recommend you wear casual clothes and closed toe shoes for your safety and enjoyment of the tour. Parking for the talk and tour is available at Moresi Foundry and at the museum. This event is suitable for an adult audience. Seating may be limited and taken on a first come, first serve basis.
