Historic Fencing Class
Renaissance-era swordplay with the Rapier, the sword of D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers and ancestor to modern sport fencing
Hands-on class in sword fighting, based on the works of fencing Masters from the 15th and 16th century. Instructions cover the techniques of the rapier, alone and with dagger, cloak, and buckler. Although focused on developing the skills for free sparring, the techniques are also valuable for actors interested in a more authentic presentation of swordplay.
Sessions begin July 14 and September 15, 2015
M/F Equipment provided. Space is limited.
