Kia of Lake Charles Chennault International Airshow

Named for the Native American legendary beast, the Thunderbirds team will headline the Airshow, and the team is internationally known for their hard-charging demonstration of precision formation flying while pushing their signature red, white and blue F-16 Fighting Falcons to the limit. Only 40 airshows in the country receive the honor of their presence. In addition to the Thunderbirds, the Airshow will feature the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team; Tinstix, a combination of aerobatic aircraft, jet trucks and pyro that is sure to capture the attention of everyone; the Shockwave Jet Truck; Skip Stewart’s high-flying aerobatic symphony; and Matt Younkin’s Beech 18 performance—recently described as the most unusual act on the airshow circuit today. Nationally acclaimed Rob Reider is the airshow announcer. Several fan-favorites from the 2013 Chennault International Airshow will return, including the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team. Their team of four men flying World War II North American Advanced Trainer aircraft will thrill audiences with their acrobatic formations that include bomb burst, vertical rejoin, avalanche, the breath-taking "Switch Blade," along with graceful loops, rolls and billowing smoke. Melissa and Rex Pemberton (husband and wife) of Pemberton Aerosports will also return. Their aerobatics and wingsuit action have been described as “the X Games act of airshows.” Lastly returning is Kevin Coleman. At the last airshow, Coleman was just 21 years old and was an instant crowd favorite. His unique Extra 300SHP is one of the highest-performance planes in the world General admission tickets give ticketholders access to one full day of aviation fun and are available for presale online for $19 for adults.
