PlantFest 2016: A Community Garden Fair


Plantfest, the annual fall plant sale and community fair hosted by the Lafayette Parish Master Gardeners Association will be held on Saturday, September 24 from 8 am -1 pm, at the Master Gardener Demo Beds on Coliseum St next to Blackham Coliseum. There will be speakers every half hour beginning at 9 am, cooking demonstrations at 9 am, 11 am and 12 pm and a Seed Swap for the community from 9 am – 12 pm. Children’s activities include making a garden hat, a rain gauge, plant designs on fabric and Nature Windows. An Ask-A-Master Gardener representative will be on site to assist with plant questions. Admission and parking for the Plant Sale and Community Fair are free. For more information go to
