Junior League of Lafayette Offered Flood Aid from Area Leagues

Sep 21, 2016 01:21PM ● By Press Release
Diaper Bank Co-Chair Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO) and Junior League of Lake Charles donated diapers, formula, water, cleaning supplies, and much more to Junior League of Lafayette (JL Lafayette) to help in the Acadiana area after recent area flooding.

To best leverage the generosity of our sister Leagues and ensure those most in need received help, JL Lafayette in turn donated these flood relief supplies to community partners such as Faith House and United Way of Acadiana. Other Junior Leagues throughout the nation have also sent gift cards to be used by Junior League of Lafayette members whose homes have flooded. Established in 1957, Junior League of Lafayette is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
