New West Regional Library Opens In Scott

Community leaders and local residents gathered today to celebrate the Official Grand Opening of the West Regional Library in Scott, Louisiana.  

The new 17,500 square-foot facility is located at 501 Old Spanish Trail near its intersection with Appollo Road. 

Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees were treated to refreshments and toured the new state of the art facility. 

The West Regional Library will close at 5:00 PM today, but will open for regular business hours starting Tuesday, May 14 at 9:00 AM.

The West Regional Library's regular hours are as follows:

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM 

Friday: 9:00 AM– 6:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM– 5:00 PM

Sunday: 12:00 PM– 6:00 PM

West Regional Library will feature:
• Large meeting room, smaller meeting spaces, and study rooms
• Public computers, printing, faxing, copying, and Wi-Fi
• Adult, Children, and Teen collections and spaces
• Drive-thru book return and pickup window
• Makerspace equipment *Coming Soon!*
• Lactation room and a family restroom
• Children’s storytelling room
• Snack and drink vending
• Electric car chargers
• Outdoor courtyard
• Self-check kiosks
• Free WiFi available throughout the building
