Water/Ways Smithsonian Exhibit Opens with Music & Art

The grand opening of the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Jeanerette Museum. Events of the day include music by the Landry Brothers Band who will perform water related songs, an art exhibit opening and much more. The main house will not be open for tours that day however the exhibit will be open to the public free of charge in the annex building. No ice chests or pets please. The local Water/Ways exhibit project is a part of Museum on Main Street, a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities made possible through funding from the Walton Family Foundation. This program is also sponsored by the Friends of the Jeanerette Museum.
