LPSS students raise over $19,000 in one day to help support Cpl. Middlebrook's family

According to the Lafayette Parish School System, students, and faculty from across the parish raised over $19,000 yesterday in an effort to help support Cpl. Michael Middlebrook's family. The money was raised through a voluntary “Jean Day” on Wednesday October 10th , whereas  students and staff of LPSS could make a $1 donation in exchange for the opportunity to wear jeans and/or a blue shirt to school. Proceeds will be sent to the Community Foundation of Acadiana on behalf of the family of Corporal Michael Middlebrook.
