Nominations Now Being Accepted For LEF Teacher Awards

Have you or someone you know been positively impacted by the actions of a dedicated teacher?

If so, LEF wants to know! Lafayette Education Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the 22nd Annual Teacher Awards. This is the perfect time to say “thank you” to that special teacher who has made a difference in your life, your child’s life or the life of someone you know. Nominations can be submitted by the general public, fellow educators, parents and current or former students for active educators, regardless of how many years have passed since the person was impacted by the educator. Nominees must be active PreK4 – 12th-grade educators in Lafayette Parish public, charter, private or parochial schools. 

Deadline for nominations is October 31, 2019. Teachers will be honored in an Academy Awards-style ceremony held at the Heymann Performing Arts Center, complete with red carpet interviews and live entertainment, on January 29, 2020. 

The 22nd Annual Teacher Awards is presented by Lafayette Education FoundationAcadian CompaniesCapital OneBankCox Communications, Giles Automotive and KATC-TV 3.

Online and downloadable nomination forms are available at www.lefoundation.org. Completed nomination forms MUST be accompanied by a written explanation of why this teacher is being nominated. Finalists are selected based on the written explanation, not the number of nominations received.
